CAMPOLINDO LEADERSHIP EQUITY COUNCIL AT A GLANCE
The Campolindo Leadership Equity Council was created in 2021 and is a new branch of Campolindo Leadership. This group of student leaders is dedicated to fostering an environment of diversity and inclusion at Campolindo and the larger community as a whole.
WHAT WE DO
The Focus of Our Efforts
RESTORATIVE JUSTICE
The Restorative Justice board focuses on creating a more equitable community through removing systemic barriers in academics, sports, and other fields. Restorative Justice works to pursue a community of inclusion and belonging as well as address past harm.
EDUCATION
The Education board aims to incorporate ideas of diversity, equity, and inclusion, into Campolindo's curriculum and the broader Lamorinda community through outreach to the student bodies and community leaders.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Community Outreach focuses on broadening Campolindo's horizons and building a positive environment, through promoting student engagement in campus culture. Community Outreach also fosters student activism in local government and worldwide issues.
Communications and Public Relations
The Communications and Public Relations board focuses on spreading awareness of our initiatives and supporting the other subgroups in their work through communicating projects to the wider Campolindo Community. The Leadership Equity Council is a new entity in 2021, making this board's task of building trust and relations with the student body vitally important to our equity work's success.
Cultural and Equity Awareness
This board is focused on ensuring equity and inclusion of all students on campus and creating a comfortable environment. This board meets with ASB Diversity Board, helps plan the spring cultural fair, and communicates regularly with affinity clubs. This board is also responsible for attending ASB's monthly equity academies and implementing affinity month programs and initiatives.
Wellness
The Wellness board is focused on improving mental health and belonging at campo through outreach to the student body, This board organizes Frosh Orientation Day in conjunction with ASB, designs and implements Frosh Outreach Programs and designs Frosh lessons. They also coordinate efforts between the other boards and work with the wellness center coordinator and peer advisors of the student union.
